WELLBEING
FOREST BATHING
SHINRIN YOKU
What is Forest Bathing?
The origin of Shinrin-yoku can be found in Japan in the 1980s. This term literally translates as “absorbing the atmosphere of the forest” and was coined by the technicians of the Japanese Forestry Agency when they set two objectives: to enhance the value of the country’s forests and to promote contact with nature in an urban population with high levels of stress and anxiety associated with work.
Shinrin-yoku or Forest Bathing is an immersion in nature during which you slow down and find balance and well-being through the senses.

It is about taking the time to connect with the environment, to notice what is around us, to breathe deeply, to feel the contact of the air, to enjoy the sounds of nature, to explore the different textures of the forest.
